Hi All, Firstly, Congratulations on a very professional forum Peter. I have recently bought a property in Porec. The same old same old, etc waiting for MFA (i'm from the UK) .... I have rights of use of two areas connected to the property (signed over to me by the previous owner via my solicitor). My question is, does anyone have any experience or knowledge of these Croatian "user rights" laws. I would like to know where I really stand with these "uso Ocuposione" rules.(excuse spelling) Thanks Phil

Hi Phil
Thank you for your kind comment. I'm in Porec most days. Are these rights referred to in your contract? Who drew up the contract?

Hi Phil Thank you for your kind comment. I'm in Porec most days. Are these rights referred to in your contract? Who drew up the contract? Hi Peter, Amazing response! Our solicitor is Stanko Ferencic address P. Kandlera 15 Porec. The rights are refered in a seperate agreemnt signed by the ex-owner and I and drawn up by Mr. Stanko. The final contract/agreement does not refer to these areas as they are not shown or listed on either the Katastro (spelling? or the deeds, as explained to me, I have sole rights of use but do not own them. Looming on the horizon, there is another property which is part of our building that we are worried will want to invade our privacy...... so I am just trying to inform myself as much as possible in the event of a clash...hopefully not but "chance favours the prepared" BTW for anyone interested there is an excellent web cam site which shows various views of Porec throughout the day and night (24Hr), has a full weather station attached and relays a wealth of data. Site is at www.istraweb.net/webcam/porec/default.asp?j=engCheers and thanks again. Phil

A bit slower this time as I'm trying to get us organised for a couple of property shows. One thing Ksenija pointed out was that it wasn't clear whether anyone else was concerned in the allocation of rights. It's all very well your vendor giving you sole rights but does anyone else have joint ownership, have existing rights or have to give you rights apart from your vendor?
