In the last week I have seen two of these advertised, one for money and found both riddled with errors. One claimed Dubrovnik was the capital of Croatia. Both, in going through procedures, claimed that the reciprocity certificate was obtained from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, although it changed to the Justice Ministry two years ago. There were other errors, too, on contractual arrangements.
I suspect at least part of the problem is that they take time for them to assemble and at a time when things are constantly changing, partly because of EU entry, something that was correct when they started, no longer is. On the other hand, there is no excuse for claiming Dubrovnik is the capital, particularly if you are charging money for the advice!
Another guide that I saw claimed that you only made the final payment , following a 10% deposit, when you were registered in the land registry. No vendor would ever agree to that!
If anyone is offered one of these things, by all means contact us for verification. Correct information from the start is terribly important if buyers are to feel comfortable about the buying process.
