Peter/or anyone else
We are visiting Croatia in early April and only have 10 days to seek a purchase. We have approx. £30K budget and seek a ruin/rennovation property with land, with a sea view which must be close to a beach..... Dalmatian Coast line or the Islands is our preferred location.
We hope to replace the ruin later (year+) with a new build when we can afford it. Does anyone have any contact/property for us to see in approx. 3 weeks time? What do we need to be careful of with a purchase like this (besides a clean title). What about obtaining planning permission?
We land in DBV (11th April)and would like a meeting on the same day/day after?
Many thanks

Let me know if you find any beaches in the Dubrovnik area with ruined houses for 30K and I will purchase 10 of them.
Seriously though there are very few beaches in the area and building control is very tight. You would be better off thinking about a small village slightly inland where the prices have not rocketed because you are not going to find anything in a good position for 30K with clean papers these days - 10 years ago maybe!

I would echo Graham's comment. Anything with clean papers in any sort of popular location at that price would go within 24 hours of hitting the market. Even stuff with defective paperwork in the Dubrovnik area is likely to be much more than that I'm afraid.

Maybe you try in villages behind Biakovo ( Makarska) I know that a tunnel is being built there ( through Biakovo) and the sea is going to be 15 minutes driving ( instad of 1 hour now)
