Hi, I need a bit of advice. I brought an off-plan apartment last May in Istria. I went to visit the apartment on a couple of occasions before final completion and all looked well. I paid up in full for the apartment towards the end of Jun on the understanding all work would be finished in July (this is written into the contract). Now 1 year later I am still waiting for my apartment to be finished. It is only minor details, missing aircon units, and some rendering on the balcony. Additionally, which is more of a concern, is that the railings for the stairs in my block are still not fitted. Obviously this is a major risk especially where children are involved. I keep getting promises that the aparment will be finished soon but I dont hold much hope. Does anyone know where I stand legally in a) getting all work completed on the aparment, b) compensation for the late completion date. I am planning to fly down to Croatia at the weekend to try and sort out this mess, so would appreciate any information that can be provided.
Thanks
Andy

Dear Andy
If you want to drop in to our offices on your way down at the weekend please do. We are in the stone building with blue shutters right beside the Visnjan Ypsilon junction. If you can let me know which day you are travelling, I'll make sure I'm available. Where is your apartment and who is the developer?
Kindest regards
