Fishermans' Festival near Tar

There is currently a Fisherman's Festival on at Tarska Vala for the next two weeks. Fresh fish is being sold at ridiculously low prices (5kg of big fish for Kns100) and you can enjoy fish meals there also very cheaply.
Catering is by the Arkada Restaurant from Tar.

Tarska Vala is the area to the south of the causeway going across to Novigrad.

There is another fish festival on again at Tarska Vala. This time it is mostly Brancin and Orada.

I'd never thought of a JCB as having fishing potential before !

The fishermen have strung a big net across the inlet and whilst one end is fixed, the other end has a rope around a pulley that is then hooked onto a JCB that is slowly pulling the net tighter.
