From this month there is a change in property law in Croatia.
EU citizens will be able to buy residential property without the need to secure the certificate from the Ministry of Justice, and before them, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, attesting to their coming from a country that allows Croatians to buy there (so called reciprocity).
EU buyers will be able to register title immediately. How this will work for buyers who have already applied for the certificate we are not yet sure. We are assuming that if they ask their lawyers to simply move straight to registration, this will be acceptable.
