Hello to all and thanks to Mr. Ellis for his prompt reply. Will keep CPS in mind in any future disposition.
My husband and his parents escaped from Yugoslavia in 1954. As a consequence, some of their parcels were confiscated by that government. They are in the Medulin, Vinkuran, Premantura and Pomer area; they seem to be unoccupied. Some relatives say my husband can try to legally retrieve these parcels from the Croatian Republic, some say it is a lost cause.
Does anybody have any knowledge or an anecdote regarding this matter? I would like to hear from people out there.

I have heard (possibly inaccurately) any claims on lands should be filed with the Croatian Government prior to around Sept 2005. After this time claims cannot be filed. However I believe this may only apply to Serb Croats who left thier homes in Croatia during the war. This may still have a bearing on your situation. Perhaps this vague info may be of a little help
