Inheritance for a wife married 31 years?

I am new at this so please excuse any errors. I am very happy to have found this informative forum.

My husband was born in Pula and at the moment only has his American citizenship - New York resident. We have been married 31 years and have 2 adult daughters. Unfortunately he now has lung cancer.

He is 1/4 owner of 4 parcels in Premantura, Pomer and Medulin of which one is almost urbanized. His 3 siblings are the other owner. I would like to know where do I stand in terms of the laws there. I am an American citizen of Hispanic descend. We are updating our wills and would like any view on how to proceed from here.

I am sorry to hear of your husband's illness. It will be important to establish that he is the registered owner. Sometimes the registration is not complete. Provided that he is registered, you will be entitled, as his wife, to inherit his holdings, together with your daughters. If you have any details of the properties we may be able to check for you.
