Renovation of stable near Rovinj, Istria

I'm trying to get hold of an architect/project manager, based in Pula, recommended to me but she hasn't come back to me, having expressed an initial interest in managing this project.

I'm in a position where I have the funds and am now ready to appoint someone to take this project on, gaining the permissions to convert the building from agricultural use to habitable property over the summer months, ready to start the actual build in Sept/Oct time 2005.

I'm based in the UK and will not be able to come to Istria to oversee this myself and need a local, reliable and experienced person to oversee the builders for me on day to day basis.

Can anyone recommend an architect in the Istria - Porec/Rovinj area - whom they have worked with successfully in the past few years?

Peter - would welcome any other suggestions from yourself also?

Hi Julie

When are you coming out next or are you wanting to start it remotely, too? If you ring Karlo Mates, who works for us, on [phone], he will liase with you and a local architect who is experienced in this type of work. A pula architect is a bit far away for you. It is always better to use local architects as their local contacts will make a difference to the time scale.
