Having operated a letting business in the Split Trogir area for the last couple of years and one of the difficulties is providing a meet and greet service for guests and organising the cleaning on change over days. I am thinking of setting up a business to cover this aspect and I think success will depend on how many properties I have under management. I am also considering providing a full management service including advertising and year round property care. Does anyone have a view or comment on this. jonathan@embridge.co.uk

We thought of it, too but have avoided it for the time being and for property here in Istria are using a local company owned by an English girl, who seems to be going from strength to strength. We were concerned by the need to have sufficient properties for critical mass and to have them in a fairly tight circle. Given that changeover is normally Saturday, it could be impossible to manage if any properties were a long way apart, as one would be rushing around all of them in one day.
