The road on the North side of Motovun going down to the Myrna Valley and Livade is currently closed. Diversions are via Ponte Portun. This road improvement is taking longer than expected and will still take several months before it is completed. You can get through, but it is still effectively a 'white' road and there may be single line working.

Work has started on the long needed widening, up to motorway standards, of the Ypsilon between Pazin and the Ucka tunnel. www.theconstructionindex.co.uk/news/view/bouygues-secures-further-work-on-croatian-motorwayThe article is curiously slanted, as the Istrian motorways are run quite separately from the rest of the country by BINA, which is a consortium of Bouygues and INA, our national petroleum company. The news was that the funding had been made available. It was pretty likely that BINA would award the construction to its own construction component ! This is a major development. Whilst the first stretch of Ypsilon, between Pula and the Slovenian border really only has major bridgeworks over the Lim and Myrna valleys, the Pazin-Ucka road has numerous bridges and high viaducts, all of which will require dualling. As a sidenote, I learned yesterday that despite massive piling, the Myrna bridge is slowly sinking and will require remedial work to stop it.

The road north of Novigrad is now almost finished but the road between Novigrad and Tar is still single line working and rough. Apart from burying utilities they are building a discrete cycle lane.
The south end of the Porec ring road remains blocked.
The road from Motovun north to Livade is fully open and a vast improvement.

There are diversions at Visnjan. The road by the builders merchants is closed, necessitating going through Visnjan from the South only and not from the West..
