On Saturday, I went to see the interiors of some houses that have recently been completed at Baredine.
We'd had some input into them originally. The concept had originally been: what can most people afford to pay and what do they expect for it?
These houses were designed on the basis of offering:
3 Bedrooms
Good views
a Pool
Some stone facades
All under Eur250,000
The concept was achieved by building two three house terraces, with each house different from its neighbour in the terrace, to lend some character. The pool, which is a huge one, is shared by the six houses. People have said, 'but I thought I'd have my own pool', but when they learn how much pool maintenance costs, which is essential if renting out, splitting it 6 ways makes it much more attractive. Three of them have already been sold, so we only have three to offer.
When I saw the interiors on Saturday, finished and furnished of the ones that have already sold, I genuinely said 'Wow!'. These are special. From the outside, the houses do not look huge, but you'd never believe it from inside. The interiors are spacious and very stylish. Since we still have access to them, you can see for yourself. I took lots of photos and will be pleased to forward them to anyone interested. I'm sure you will be as impressed as I was at just what fantastic value these houses are.
Two of them are Eur199,000 and the biggest one, with three storeys, is Eur240,000.
The prices include, gas fired underfloor heating throughout, air conditioning, fitted wooden wardrobes and shared pool. The views are free!
